Nova Scotia Entrepreneur Stream aims to target the candidates with business ownership or senior management experience. They ought to live in Nova Scotia, either start a new business or buy an existing business, and stay active for the management of the business on the daily basis.
Under the Entrepreneur Section, candidates are issued a temporary work permit before applying for permanent residence, after operating the business for the first year. The stream uses the expression of interest format, where candidates are invited to apply in a pool.
Entrepreneur Stream: Candidate Requirements
- 1. Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 2. Wants to live permanently in Nova Scotia while Nova
- 3. Scotia is the business owner and actively.
- 4. The minimum net worth of $ 600,000.
- 5. A minimum investment of $ 150,000 to establish or purchase a business in Nova Scotia.
- 6. The candidate must have experience of at least 3 years (33 percent ownership minimum) or more than 5 years of experience in the senior business management role to hold or actively manage a business.
- 7. A score of a minimum of 5 on the Canadian Language Benchmark in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English or French. Newfoundland and Labrador
International Graduate Entrepreneur Division
Basic requirements:
- 1. The province is open to immigrants wishing to start, join, or manage a business.
- 2. Graduate from Memorial University or College of the North Atlantic.
- 3. Have completed a program at least two years in length.
- Benchmark Level 7 is one of the official languages of Canada.
- 4. Have at least one year’s experience of managing or owning a business in the province.
- 5. Candidates must establish themselves and their occupation on a temporary work permit, before being enrolled for permanent residency after at least one year.
- 6. There is no need for investment.
International Entrepreneur Category
Basic requirements:
- 1. Open to migrants ages 21 to 59.
- 2. Transfer $ 500,000 in net business and personal property to the province.
- 3. Have two years of experience managing a business.
- 4. Candidates must establish themselves and their occupation on a temporary work permit, before being enrolled for permanent residency after at least one year.
